Phieu joined Ionetix from Vaxcyte, a developer of next-generation pneumococcal conjugate vaccines, where he was Executive Director and Head of Finance. Phieu has more than 20 years of experience in finance, corporate development and operations in healthcare industry. During his time at Vaxcyte, Phieu executed several financing transactions, including the company’s crossover financing, initial public offering and follow-on offering as well as provided strategic and operational leadership. Prior to Vaxcyte, Phieu served as Vice President and Head of Corporate Development for Proteus Digital Health. Phieu previously spent over 10 years at McKesson heading up M&A, business development and operations with P&L responsibility. Phieu began his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers where he led and played key roles in a broad range of M&A and financing transactions valued in excess of $25 billion.
